Marc is the founding lawyer at Green Economy Law Professional Corporation. Before launching the firm in 2020, Marc worked as a resident associate at the premier New York entertainment law firm Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks.

Marc frequently writes about environment, health, and housing policy, and his articles have been published by the Toronto Star, blogTO, NOW Magazine, the National Observer, the Energy Mix, and Psychedelic Spotlight. He runs the websites PsychedelicLaw.ca and vegandigitalnomad.com, and has been quoted in Bloomberg, CBC, CTV News, Psychedelic Alpha, Tripsitter, and other media

Outside of his work with the firm, Marc is a member of the Toronto Community Bikeways Coalition and sits on the VegTO board of directors (he’s been vegan since 2011, plant-based since 2006).

Monika is a contract law clerk with Green Economy Law Professional Corporation, and PhD candidate at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, where her research focuses on the nature of mental health, including the effects of psychedelic experiences on mental disorders.

She practiced as a barrister for several years in the UK before striking out to see more of the world. She spent a few months on a fellowship with a Palestinian rights NGO in Israel, helped refugees navigate the Greek asylum process in Athens, and taught law for two years in the Seychelles.

In her spare time, Monika likes to read and watch Swedish TV. She also enjoys hiking: having completed both the Inca Trail in Peru and the Camino de Santiago in Spain, she is currently planning to walk the Kungsleden in Sweden.

Hani is a contract law clerk with Green Economy Law Professional Corporation. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of British Columbia in 2017 and is now a law student at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law.

Hani has a history of non-profit sector work experience, with a particular focus on advocacy and public policy reform. She is passionate about systemic change and hopes to leverage her academic training to address sustainability and human rights issues through the lens of the law.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Hani practices mindfulness meditation on a daily basis and enjoys video editing as a creative outlet. She is also an avid reader of non-fiction, with a keen interest in the areas of social science, spirituality, and technology.

Caitlin is a contract law clerk with Green Economy Law Professional Corporation. She graduated with a bachelor of laws and a bachelor of arts (majoring in political sciences) from the University of Otago (New Zealand) in 2021. She is currently based in British Columbia.

Caitlin began her legal career at Dentons in New Zealand, focusing on property and construction law. She then shifted her focus to social justice, serving as a Solicitor for the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in State Care, where she investigated historical cases of child abuse in New Zealand foster care.

Caitlin is dedicated to humanitarian causes, environmentalism, and legal advocacy. In her spare time, she enjoys various outdoor activities, including surfing, skiing, and hiking. She has recently taken an interest in climbing, and appreciates the unique challenge it presents.

Alex is a contract law clerk with Green Economy Law Professional Corporation. After obtaining master's degrees in business administration and law, he began his legal career as a junior associate at the international law firm Cameron McKenna Sigle in Brussels, Belgium.

Alex has experience advising startups regarding corporate law, but is also drawn to environmental law and sustainability. Now based in Vancouver, he volunteers with West Coast Environmental Law where he advocates for the rights of nature.

When not working or reading non-fiction books, Alex enjoys running, skiing and cycling. He is also an avid backpacker, having hiked the Wicklow Way in Ireland and La Rota Vicentina in Portugal.
