Housing and Residential Tenancy Law

Housing should be your right, not someone else’s commodity. Our Millennial and Gen Z legal counsel know this all too well. That’s why we’re happy to provide various housing-related legal services to those in need of assistance.

In connection with the firm’s housing law practice, we also run the LTB Whisperer blog.

OUR SERVICES INCLUDE…

  • Residential landlord-tenant disputes

  • Condominium and co-op disputes

  • Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) hearing representation

  • Requests for review of an LTB order

  • Filing an appeal of an LTB order to the Divisional Court

  • Garnishment and collection

  • Small Claims Court matters

  • Credit report remediation

  • Short-term rental complaints

Our Pricing…

Most legal work is billable at our personnel’s hourly rates, but we also offer several popular flat fee housing assistance packages (detailed below).

Flat Fee Options

All flat fee option prices are subject to applicable tax and additional terms.

  • We will provide one (1) month of assistance as-needed to address your housing matter, provided it falls within the jurisdiction of the LTB. This will include:

    • Legal advice

    • Communication with opposing parties

    • Assistance with LTB filings

    • Assistance compiling and submitting evidence

    • Hearing argument and evidence preparation

We’ll aim to resolve your matter before it gets to the LTB, if possible (and applicable), by demonstrating to the opposing party the case that awaits them, and potentially negotiating a settlement agreement.

When a subscription month ends, you can request renewal for another month of service either immediately or as-needed. Subscription months are not automatically renewed.

This option does not include representation by firm personnel at LTB hearings (for that, see below).

  • This option covers representation by an experienced Green Economy Law lawyer at your LTB hearing. It is available on a per-hearing basis. It must be paired with a Subscription Month, which covers all work surrounding and leading up to the hearing.

  • This option, which you can book here, allows you to speak to a Green Economy Law lawyer for one (1) hour about your housing-related matter and obtain legal advice. It can be conducted by phone, Zoom, or in person.

Note: We also offer a free 15 minute consultation option with no legal advice for those interested in engaging the firm for legal services. The paid consultation is simply an option for those looking solely for immediate legal advice.
