BC MANUFACTURING JOBS FUND

Purpose: To help manufacturing businesses modernize, innovate, and grow. There is a particular focus on encouraging sustainability in the forestry industry by reducing dependency on old growth and supporting the innovative use of biomaterials.

Funding: There are two available funding streams:

  • Stream 1 provides up to 50% of total project costs to a maximum of $50,000 to develop final-stage operational and technical assessments or business and project planning for established businesses who want to diversify or increase productivity.

  • Stream 2 provides up to 20% of eligible total project costs with contributions ranging between $100,000 and $10 million for new or renovated manufacturing infrastructure, technology, equipment, and processes.

Eligibility:

  • Businesses in BC;

  • For-profit organizations in BC; and

  • Entities with for-profit manufacturing operations, including First Nations and Indigenous- and First Nation-owned enterprises in BC

Deadline: The program began accepting applications on February 28, 2023 and will remain open to proposals for approximately two years, or until all funds are allocated.


CLEANBC GO ELECTRIC REBATES PROGRAM

Purpose: To incentivize the adoption of zero emission vehicles (ZEVs) in B.C.

Funding: Rebates of $1,700-$150,000 per vehicle, depending on the type of vehicle. Businesses can receive a maximum of ten rebates.

Eligibility: Individuals, non-profits, and public sector organizations based in BC or which have a BC affiliate.

Deadline: N/A


CLEANBC PLASTICS ACTION FUND

Purpose: To grow BC’s circular economy by supporting new projects which reduce plastic waste through recycling, remanufacturing, reusing and repairing.

Funding: A maximum of $66% of the project cost. The expected costs of the projects are $250,000.00-$1,200,000.00.

Eligibility:

  • For-profit businesses;

  • Not-for-profit organizations; and

  • Indigenous communities and organizations 

All applicants must be registered and operating in British Columbia, and cannot be subsidiaries of organizations that maintain a corporate headquarters outside of BC Businesses must be majority owned by BC residents.

Deadline:  December 2, 2024, or once all funds have been subscribed.


GO ELECTRIC OFFERINGS FOR INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES AND BUSINESSES

Purpose: To provide Indigenous communities and businesses with rebates on the cost of purchasing and installing electrical vehicle charging stations at their homes or workplaces. 

Funding: Rebates of 75% up to $4,000 per charging station for applicants who receive electricity from BC Hydro. Rebates of 75% up to $6,000 per charging station for applicants who receive electricity from FortisBC.

Eligibility: Indigenous individuals and businesses who receive electricity from BC Hydro or FortisBC.
