Cryptocurrency, on balance, is bad for the environment. But all cryptocurrencies are not equally unsustainable.

On the contrary, their sustainability profiles differ enormously, just as the sustainability profiles of energy sources (e.g., gas, oil, wind, solar, etc.) differ enormously.

This report intends to clarify how, why, and to some extent which cryptocurrencies are more sustainable than others.
