Community Environment Fund

  • Purpose: The Community Environment Fund applies funds acquired from environmental infractions to bolster projects that enhance and restore the ecosystems of impacted areas. Projects must be based in specified regions of Ontario.

  • Funding: The minimum funding request is $5,000.

  • Eligibility:

    • First Nation and Métis communities;

    • Educational institutions;

    • Municipalities;

    • Incorporated not-for-profits; and

    • Community-based groups.

  • Deadline: N/A

Starter Company Plus Grant (Toronto)

Purpose: The Starter Company Plus Grant supports eligible entrepreneurs looking to build their small businesses.

  • Funding: $5,000.

  • Eligibility:

    • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;

    • 18+;

    • Not be attending school or planning to return to school while enrolled in the program;

    • Be devoting a minimum of 35 hours per week to their small business and not employed anywhere else;

    • Not be enrolled in any other government-funded employment program;

    • Toronto resident.
